DESCHAMPS developed the Helipad™
range in order to avoid the brown-out (and white-out) effect due to sand, dust or snow. They increase the pilots visibility and reduce the helicopter maintenance need.
The specific DESCHAMPS 3D technical fabric structure of the Helipads™
assures the best safety for helicopter crews and ground support equipment teams. The wind permeability of the material allows the rotor wash to be evacuated through the Helipad™
with no risk to blow up the mats. The liquid permeability avoids the water or oil puddles, and keep the area always anti-skid.

DESCHAMPS is a SME set up in Charente, France since 1860. It is here that are manufactured the access mats.
